Changes to my study programme

Hello people! I hope you are doing fine . Today I will be revelating some new ideas that I have for the English programm that Im coursing.

There are some things that work very well , but I think we can improve in others.The idea of this blogg is make a better programme for dancers who will have the chance of using this idiom in a moment of his or her career , or maybe only using it with a foreign choreographer who is teaching a workshop .

In my short experience I have realized that music its very helpfull with the pronunciation , so I will use use that recurse with students , I think it will be fun too beacuse everyone has a musical taste , so everyone can use that doing kareokes and analyse the song lyrics ,  and also increase the vocabulary.

The audiovisual material must be more applicated in class , maybe watch some dance documentary without subtitles  . helping aour english ear conecting dance vocabulary with cotidian class.This ideas will be a nice experience , for people who find kinda boring the process of practicing the" conversation part".

 But we need to talk about the computers too , we need this implements to be okay  .The conditions for the class is the worst part of the programme.If this point works well , the other parts will work very well ... and we will have a very nice semester.

This were a few ideas that get into my head , I think this programme is not too workloaded , so we should use well the short time that we get .

Postgraduate studies

Hello! Today I will tell you guys , my interests about doing a postgraduate study.

Lately I've been thinking about my life after the university , but I haven't realized yet what i want to do.Maybe a  program that incluides subjects like literature , body language through the history and analysis of the space. Something that includes this type of things , because I'm interestest in taking something indirectly close to dance.

Of course I'll like to see things from other perspective and culture , so I will like lot ake this classes in other country maybe inside Europe .Because they have a very interesting way of living , so it will be a wonderful discover of life in general. Places like Greece , Italy or France are nice for this adventure.

A part time course will be perfect for that moment of my life i guess , in that case i could work and study , and of course walk through the city and get inspired. That will be a good advice for people interested in doing an a after pregrade program , to get inspired and learn thing that complement the studies that you already have , beacuse learning other arts makes a more integral human being.

I hope to dedicate two years to this postgraduate study and find my way in the investigation of the arts , then comeback to Chile  and complement my studies with primary eduaction doing a programm for teenagers students.

My future job

Hello bloggers ! I hope you're doing great :)

Today I'll be talking about my future job .Of course I want to graduate soon from the university , but I haven't realized exactly what I want to do after I graduate.

I hope to work as a choreoghapher and have my own company for young dancers , I don't know where  but I think it will be everywhere but Santiago , not because I dont like it it's just that I think that this city it's too crowded with dancers ,maybe a little town in Greece will be perfect to start my company. Also I imagine myself dancing too , but I picture myself more into the creation . I think it will be amazing to make both .

Of course I loved to travel in my work ,doing choreographies for other dancers but maybe not too much .As I recently said , I would like to have my own place , like a "home" , so if i traveled it wouln't be often.I think I need to focus in stablish a nice place to dance.

About the salary and majors ... I don't know I can't read my future so I don't want to messure up things.If I don't too much money , I will plan something to make more money and live pacefully,

Maybe a major will help , but right now I'm not interested in one.

My biggest fears

Hello people!! today I'll be talking about my fears .This topic its very difficult to me  because I usually don't feel afraid about things in life  , but the only thing that gives me a little of panic being pointed with a gun , wich It's weird because i love guns i find  their perfect form amazing , but when i was watching "Breaking bad" the series  , I started to get afraid of shooters , and i probably wouldn't know how to deal with the situation  of someone pointing a gun to my head .

I know it sounds dramatic and extreme , but i picture this image in my head and  i can't imagine the pain of ending your life in 5 seconds. The reason of this fear is because of Breaking bad , in series the abuse of deads caused of shootings, and becomes like a natural thing to do , there is to much violence in  the episodes.

I haven't deal with this fear because it never happened to me (of course) and i dont think  that people can work this fear because we are talking of dead/life situation , most of people must be afraid of this . I still can watch shootings , I don't have a problem with that and obviously i still love guns (they are so beautiful) , but i the thing is that I don't one anyone to kill me  , I want to die on my own.

My fabulous pet

Hello people !!! today I'll be talkimg about my pet , his name is Viserion and he is a Blue point Thai cat  , most known as siamese .

Viserion is one of the most important living being in my life , he borned days after i moved to Santiago , and we  fall in love inmediatly. Since then he became my precious company , because he likes to be present when things happend , also he is very crazy and he is always running ,talking and jumping around when you are doing something.He hates to be alone but loves food , so he will be never boring of eating . Also he is a very good fan of Grey's Anatomy

Sometimes i like to call Viserion with other names like : Viceroy , Viserrrrion ,Vitelio , Vichi , Melio , Melisa , Meli ,Lerroy , Panchito, Damon Slavatore and Dereck Sheperd.

Pets are really important , beacuse they give you something that humans can't give you , they dont need words to express their feelings to you , especially cats . So if i was an animal I'll a cat and obviously I'll be like Viserion , because he is the best.

The best concert ever

In 2014, I went to one of the most fabulous music events in the world, the Lollapalooza festival in Santiago de Chile. Honestly it wasn't  in my plans to go because I wanted to go when "The killers" returned to this stage , but the story begins when my mom decides to go because there was a rumor of "Depeche mode" coming to this festival , so she bought three tickets immediately. But when the line up went out she realized that a "Depeche mode" wasn't coming , instead the "Red hot chili peppers" were coming as a potential band. In that moment I asked immediately if I could use one of those tickets …. so we went like a mother and daughter activity. 

Red Hot Chili Peppers is a band of alternative rock and american funk rock formed in 1983 in Los Angeles , California. The band members are: Anthony Kiedis (voice) , Josh Klinghoffer (guitar), Michael " Flea" Balzary (bass) and Chad Smith (drums). Their musical style fuses traditional funk with rock and alternative rock adding genres like rap , pop rock , heavy metal , dance , punk , indie rock and hip hop.

Apart from the Red hots I enjoyed  this concert because there were a lot of bands that i didn't even know that were coming ,like: AFI , Imagine dragons , capital cities , Phoenix , Julian Casablancas ,Flume , Ellie Goulding ,Cage the elephant and Axwell.

I remember that day very well , the environment was awesome , all of the people was having fun and the most cool thing for me was that when you lay down  to rest in the grass you could listen the band playing still. Also I remember that i also died for hypothermia that day , because i didn't bring a jacket with me that day and when Phoenix was playing. And an awesome thing that happened was that Daniel (the vocalist of imagine dragons) throw himself to the crowd very next to me so that a was incredible.

A country i would like to visit

Hello! today i will show you  the country that i would like to visit ...

 so if you are thinking of going to JAPAN , this blogg will be very usefull for you .

Japan it is a very nice place , especially Tokyo were you can feel a very futuristic vibe wherever you go .Also i like technology and creative artworks , and you will se alot of that in there ,So thats pretty much my reason to want to vistit Japan .

This island country is ubicated in East Asia , located in the Pacific Ocean . The Kanji that make up Japan name mean "sun origin", and it is often called the "Land of the Rising Sun".

Japanese culture has evolved greatly from its origins. Contemporary culture combines influences from Asia, Europe and North America. Traditional Japanese arts include crafts such as ceramics , textiles, performances of bunraku , kabuki, noh , dance and rakugo ; and other practices, the tea ceremony, calligraphy, origami, Geisha and games.

The first thing that i would do in Tokyo would be eat tons of sushi and go to the Hello Kitty Cafe, then maybe i would start tolook at the  architecture from the Sensoji Temple .... Its the most awsome place for me!.

And something that i would really like to do its collect flowers from the cherry blossom tree, because its really popular in there.

I just really want to visit Japan , maybe in the holiday , i couldn´t live there because there is too much people and i think that would stress me out somehow. But for now i just want to get know their culture and way of living.

The dancer that i admire

Sylvie Guillem  is a french dancer with a long and very important dance career .She was born on 25 February 1965 in Paris ,as a child, she trained in gymnastics under the instruction of her mother,  and now she is one of the big stars of the iternational dance field , because she was part of big companys like : Paris Opera Ballet where she started with the young age of 16 , dancing choreographies like "Romeo and Juliet", "Don Quixote" and "Giselle" between others.Nureyev the director of the company named her étoile when she was 19 years old.

Then she follow her career in the Royal Ballet but this new step came along with other opportunities , like being part of choreos made by important choregraphers in te dance world start , like Maurice Bejart and Mats Ek   who created "Wet Woman "(1993) and  "Smoke" (1995) for her. Also she experimented with contemporary choreos , giving a expresionist twist to her way of dance  , dancing in "Scared monster" made by Akram Khan and " Push" of Maliphant.

I admire Sylvie because she represent very well the dance progression , she was an excellent prima ballerina but also she left us breathless with her contemporary performances , and i love that  versatility in the movements.Her style as a dancer on stage its very interesting too , and think that is important to have that as a dancer.

My favorite photograph

My favorite photograph its this one , where there are a lot of people that i love and represent the joy in my heart after a performance.I dont know exactly who tooke this photo , but i was one of the people in the audience who capture the perfect moment,but the important thing its what this picture shows ... 

In November of 2012 the company "Collective bodies in suspension" presented the play "The beings who gave drink to the butterflies" and this is the moment when all ends and we reunite as a family to take a group photo , but i remember that we were there and one ex memeber of the group was missing in the photo so we start calling him with laughs and claps.

I love this picture beacuse transports me to a good moment of my life , that feeling of ending a good show, the pride of the work team that we started  months ago that moment of the picture. Its my favorite beacuse its shows LOVE, simple as that.

My favorite holiday

Hi! today I'm going to talk you about my favorite holiday…. .Its HALLOWEEN!!   .It`s on Octuber 31st , and i love it because i like to use costumes , every time i have the opportunity to use a costume i do.Days before halloween i do a search of costumes that i like , usually i pick a katy perry costume but depends the place I'm going.So when I'm already decide ,my mom and i work together to make the costume for myself , so i never rent a costume.When the day comes i  prepare myself with make up, hairstyle , etc and i put the costume we made ,Its like a tradition where my friends and i go to Manu`s house to reunite and then we go to a party and drink a lot of alcohol til we get waste.The next day i watch horror films with my mom and we eat all of the halloween candys that are left .

The best thing that happened to me on halloween its actually halloween , i wait every day of the year for this day so every year its good year because of this day , i spent time with the ones that i love and i use a costume so everything its awesome.And the worst thing its when Lyng -yu , a very old friend of mine use creepy costumes , he scared me to hell , he looks very ugly and its disgusting.

Movies

Hi! today i will be talking about one of my favorite movies ,mostly i liked romance and drama films because i usually watch them when i need to cry .I have always like movies since i was twelve i watch them daily , but lately i just have time on the weekends , so friday night i like to lay in bed eat a lot of junk food and watch a movie on netflix alone .Before netflix i use to have two boxes full of dvd movies  ,but i have to left them in my house in Arica .

This movie is called "The duchess" its not my favorite one , but its one of the movies that i have watched a million time in my life.The main cast its formed Keira Knightley as"Georgiana Cavendish" , Ralph Fiennes as "William Cavendish" and Dominic Cooper as "Charles Grey".This is a 2008 British drama film and it is based on Amanda Foreman`s biography of the 18th-century English aristocrat Georgiana Cavendish ,duchess of Devonshire , and is feminine gender film. The plot its about Georgiana`s life as the duchess , married with a man who only cares about having a heir for the throne and doesn't care about the love , so Georgiana after having three daughters at her young age starts to live more alone her life and thats when she realizes that she is still in love of her young love Charles Grey , but the duke of course will made everything to transform this love in impossible.

I watched this movie on 2009 , and i loved it because i am a big Keira Knightley fan , she is my favorite actress so i watched every movie of hers , and mostly because i like ages film`s , when woman are stronger even when they are not loved back ,like this one its a true story life movie.

Level 3 Post 3: Write about your favourite piece of technology

My favorite piece of technology is my mp4, i called it "Nikki".Every free time that i have on my day,im listening to music .I got "Nikki" eight years ago, a day when my mom was buying a lot of things in Fallabella i was so boring standing there that i decided to start looking for a mp4 and when i saw "Nikki" was love at first sight .Obviously this mp4 its really old and its not very atractive or modern but i love it , i like it because little and portable so whenever im walking i used to transport me other places with music , so that happends a lot in my life.Sadly my mp4 had battery issues so it died a months ago , but i still have it on my favorite things list , my life without "Nikki" its not the same , i would have to buy another mp4 beacuse i need music in my life , "Nikki" was in the hardest days so i need a new partner ,and when i get it i will name it "Alexander".

Level 3 - Post 2 (week 4) > Expectations for a New Semester

This term i have a lot of challenges for myself , starting with my class subjects , some of them are Modern Dance , Contemporary Dance , Physical Conditioning these are subjects where you have to stay very focus so i think i`ll have to be very concentrated in  futures class , because they are really important and requires a lot of energy and technique.Others subjects like Ballet , Improvisation and English are the ones that i enjoy and feel a little more relax because i have more practice in them ,but when i have History of Art i really get bored ,so i`ll have to make an effort to not fall sleep .

In this first semester i don`t have any extracurricular activities , but after class i have a writing and reading time connected to dance , so when  new choreographies , solos and ideas get in my head , i write them down every day .I like to have this time because two years ago i worked in a Ballet Academy teaching children in the afternoon and i was more busy.

I expect to get in a dance company soon ,also have a part time job so i can earn some money and cost a trip in the holidays , that way i could take more dance classes in other countries .I hope too that my arms get more stronger , because i don`t have enough force yet and i want to do hand stands  but i`m a little afraid to fall so this is my big expectation for this semester. Blog Session 1 (Week 3) >> My Auto Biography English III Danza

Hi , my name is Ambar Diaz Habib and im a dance student presenting my life here!.I was born on June 19th , 1996 in Arica , i lived there all my childhood and it was really fun , Arica is a nice place to live ,it has the best sunsets i know and its always a relaxing time there .I went to San Marco´s school of Arica since elementary to high school years ,it is a catholic school and a very stricted one , so i never enoyoied going there.In 3rd year of high school i decided to study dance in college , it was a very difficult decision to me and my family because i have to leave town and come to live here ,in Santiago.My passion for dance start really early, ive always been dancing since i was little , in front of my mirror or in the street , but when i was nine years old i decided to join a Ballet Academy and there i started to know classical technique ,i never stop since that moment , the more i grew up , more techniques were involment like Contemporary , Modern , even urban styles.Now im in the University of Chile doing what i like , i live in Providencia and im getting use to this town , i like going to the mall near to my house a lot and when i get bored i like to write in a park , i found writting really interesting because with dance i can  exprese myself without words , but i like how i can transform this feelings into words... so thats pretty much what i am and what i like  .
